Frequently Asked Questions

How do the murder mysteries work?

When the event begins, each person is assigned a unique character with a backstory, secret objectives, and relationships to explore. As the evening unfolds, a murder is revealed, and guests must investigate by mingling, exchanging information, and using tools like bribery or blackmail to uncover clues.

There are no scripts—just improv-style roleplay, hidden motives, and lots of surprises. You’ll work toward your own goals while trying to solve the central mystery. At the end of the game, everyone votes on who they believe the killer is… and the truth is dramatically revealed.

Unlike traditional murder mysteries, this is dynamic, improvised, and player-driven. No scripts. Just suspense.

Do I need acting skills?

No acting experience is necessary. Our murder mystery parties are designed for everyone, regardless of their acting abilities. Just come with a willingness to immerse yourself in the character and have fun. Participants are assigned characters to play. This interactive approach allows attendees to fully immerse themselves in the experience and engage with other participants as they work together to solve the murder. The involvement creates a dynamic and engaging atmosphere throughout the event.

How long do the murder mysteries last?

Our murder mystery parties typically last 1.5-2 hours depending on group size

How are Baker Street Mystery parties different from a boxed kit online?

Unlike boxed murder mystery kits where players read from scripts and follow preset dialogue, Baker Street Mystery events are fully guest-driven and improvisational. You won’t find corny lines or forced scenes—each guest brings their character to life through organic interactions, secret objectives, and real-time choices. Our format encourages collaboration, intrigue, and spontaneity, making every game night feel fresh, personalized, and deeply immersive. No two parties play out the same way—because the mystery evolves with your group.
