Become a Murder Mystery Host
with Baker Street Mystery
Are you ready to bring excitement and intrigue to our murder mystery events? Baker Street Mystery is seeking dynamic individuals to join our team as hosts. This role requires engaging with guests, managing event logistics, and delivering captivating performances. If you’re enthusiastic, charismatic, and ready to take on the challenge, we want to hear from you!
So if you have experience in theater, public speaking, crowd engagement, improve or event facilitation we want to hear from you. We believe in transparency–this is a completely paid role as a freelancer starting at $120 per event.
Host ResPonsibilities
- Leading the Event: Introduce and guide guests through a 1.5-2 hour interactive murder mystery party.
- Memorizing Key Details: Familiarize yourself with the script to deliver it naturally without reading verbatim.
- Managing Technology: Operate audio equipment and handle basic computer tasks related to event management.
- Engaging the Audience: Encourage guest participation, create suspense, and keep the energy high throughout the event.
- Flexibility: Choose the events you wish to work based on your availability. The role is a freelance position with pay starting at $120 per event.
Relevant qualifications
Required
- Comfortable talking in front of large groups
- Access to a computer
- Availability on weekends
- Business casual / event themed / formal clothing
Nice to have
- Understanding of Google Forms
- Past theater, improv or speaking experience
- Previous experience with audio equipment (speaker / microphone)
